Agrivert did a packed tour around the local anaerobic digester food waste facility – where we discovered they turned our food waste into electricity. It was so popular they are running it two times again this year!
Veoila – one of our Gold Sponsors brought Munch the Recycling Lorry to two towns #StAlbans and #Harpenden for the day – with crowds waiting to get some of their food waste bins and other items to help with recycling
Plastic Free St Albans campaign was launched with a #plasticfree Community Picnic – with 80 people – and film screening of A Plastic Ocean in the evening with 350 people coming to the Odyssey to join in the discussion.

Oxfam Chequer St had an informative window display about single use coffee cups and Oxfam Bookshop put on a fantastic display of books on environmentally sustainable themes – with a great window display for #SustWeek18
Charlie’s Coffee Company offered a discount on their resusable coffee cups all week – and she reported that she had had good sales!
