Come and join us with the Mayor at St Albans Market Sat 29 October.

Did you know that 18,000 tonnes of pumpkins are thrown away each year? That’s the same weight as 1,500 double decker buses! Spine chilling stuff eh?

We will be in the market all day Saturday 29 October, with free pumpkin soup, recipes, Weigh The Pumpkin, quizzes, games and give-a-ways to help you reduce food waste. Come and join in!

The Mayor of the City and District of St Albans will be coming along at 11am to help us launch A Week Without Food Waste – a Community Food Waste Challenge – see you there!
