Are you an individual or organisation, looking to embed real change in the community of St Albans district, home to one of the most respected Sustainability Festivals in the country?

Sustainable St Albans (SSA) and St Albans City and District Council (SADC) are working together to accelerate progress towards achieving net zero carbon emissions by the residents and organisations of our district, as set out in SADC’s Climate Crisis Strategy and Action Plan

Sustainable St Albans is now advertising a contract to engage residents, faith and community groups – the area in which we have tried-and-tested expertise. The project seeks to engage residents and groups in climate action related activities across the whole district: St Albans, Harpenden, and the villages.

The main objectives are to ensure at least 20 local organisations make meaningful commitments to cut their carbon footprint and develop action plans accordingly, and also to engage at least 10,000 residents (a number we regularly engage through our Sustainability Festival) in various projects including the Count Us In campaign, the Sustainability Festival 2022, and more. Our Sustainability Festival will be delivered by this contractor with a working group and team of experienced volunteers, leveraging a network of regular contacts that have previously exceeded this target.

If you know any organisations or individuals who may be interested in fulfilling this contract, please share this page with them.
