The Sustainable Schools training day 2018 is now full!

Sustainable St Albans is now organising the Sustainable Schools Day for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. Open to all schools across the district: St Albans, Harpenden, and the villages. To get your school involved, see Contact Form at end of page.

This year the schools’ training day is on  Monday 19th November at the fantastic FarmSchool at Annables Farm

As in previous years, it promises to be a fun and inspiring day!  Your pupils will attend a series of workshops to inspire them with ideas on how to take further action for sustainability in your school.

For example, the pupils will learn about saving water, reducing waste and improving air quality.

The Farmschool staff will be taking the pupils on tractor rides to find out how their farm practices are protecting wildlife and minimising impact on the environment.

The day is free to attend and we have space for up to 4 pupils from your school plus an accompanying teacher.

St Albans Festival of Sustainabilty – May 2019

quickroundlogoWe plan to hold a follow-up event in the St Albans council chamber in May 2019 to  give the pupils a chance to share and celebrate what they have achieved in school as a result of the ideas presented during the sustainable schools day. There will be an award for the school that has achieved the most!
