Growing The Green House

June 11 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

On Sunday 11th June George Street Canteen in St Albans will be hosting a Growing The Green House event between 11am and 3pm.

Butterfly World 2.0, Wilderhood Watch and local sustainable business Tommy & Lottie will be running stalls and lots of exciting activities are also lined up including: 

11am – 11.30am: Local musician Richard Lafford, part of the “Change the World Through Music” group, will play a selection of his thought provoking songs in the wildlife garden.

11.30am – 12pm: Danielle Durant from The Cobbled Kitchen will demonstrate how to cook something that is delicious and also kind to the planet.

12.15 – 12.45pm: The launch of Wilderhood Watch’s Butterfly Challenge 2023 with local butterfly expert Malcolm Hull. There will be a plant and seed giveaway and the chance to ask lots of butterfly related questions.

1.30pm – 2.00pm: Danielle from The Cobbled Kitchen will be back demonstrating how to cook something yummy and planet friendly.

2.15pm – 3pm: Camden’s singer/songwriter Caroline Chan will perform a selection of her songs about the environment. Caroline has a huge repertoire and over twenty years of experience of working with audiences of all ages so do bring your children and grandparents along too!

So come and join us and enjoy some delicious George St Canteen Sustfest food and drink at Growing The Green House on Sunday 11th June!
