Human Art Creation of an Octopus for Stop Deep Sea Mining

June 3 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Meet on the hill in Verulamium by the lake and the Roman wall to create a fluorescent octopus shape to reflect the bioluminescence of the deep ocean. We will provide the hi-viz colour. Our outline will be photographed and videoed as part of a global Greenpeace campaign calling on governments to stop deep sea mining which will destroy these creatures we barely know anything about.
You can also learn about the names of some weird deep sea creatures and create a design of what you think they may look like. We will choose a winning design and this will be created in online 3D.
