Hear the story of Iqbal Zia (ex-Mayor and Honorary Alderman of St Albans) and Farhat Zia (Herts Asian Womens Association) who travelled to Pakistan for a six-month trip in the harsh winter of 2022/23 to see how they could help local people in Baffa, Iqbal’s home town.

During these freezing months, they used funds raised from the AKIFA Foundation and they worked with local people to provide help and support for people whose lives were devastated by the climate-induced flooding. They want to share with you their experiences, photographs, and local stories.
