Enjoy a relaxed mindful session learning how to create woven art from waste fibres and fabrics with tapestry artist Lucy Sugden.

You will create a piece inspired by the natural world such as plant life and landscapes or enjoy experimenting with different colours and textures. As you weave you will learn about your warp and weft and how to use woven tapestry techniques to create simple but effective woven art.

This workshop is suitable for beginner weavers with no experience, as well as those who have some knowledge and wish to further develop skills! Lucy will have sample pieces to inspire you and designs to follow if you wish.

Looms will be ready for you to use, and a selection of fabrics, wools, ribbons, and beads will be provided. You are welcome to bring any fabrics of your own you want to include in your weaving.
