St Albans Friends of the Earth invite you to join their photo with masks and banners to launch the campaign to fight for a law to prevent UK companies from damaging the environment in other countries. The law would prevent things like companies using unsustainably sourced palm oil that involves chopping down the forests that the last orang-utans live in. The campaign is called Planet Over Profit and promises to have a huge, positive impact around the world if successful.
Join the quick fun photo on Friday 16th May 5pm, right at the start of the SustFest Local to Global themed weekend of eco activities.
We’ll meet at the band stand in Clarence Park in St Albans, we’ll have animal masks and banners, and we’ll be looking to use the trees there to give a forest theme to our photo, highlighting the plight of forest creatures in other parts of the world.
Everyone’s welcome including accompanied children and dogs and our photo will only take a few minutes.
