What is The Week?
Over 55,000 people have participated in The Week, a nonprofit project to promote discussions about the climate emergency, its impacts, the feelings this provokes, and the action people decide to take together. You can watch the introduction video and find out more on their website.
The Week experience organised by St Albans Greener Together
Across the course of a week those who sign up will meet three times online for two hours. In this time, we will watch three films, looking at the related issues of climate change, pollution, overconsumption, and biodiversity loss:
· The Descent explores where we are and is challenging to watch
· The Reckoning considers the implications, good and bad
· The Adventure is an inspiring look at what people are already doing and the many actions that can be taken, and provides useful resources
Each film takes around one hour, followed by a facilitated conversation of up to one hour. The Week will be facilitated by Alison Maitland, a St Albans resident and experienced coach and facilitator.
