We welcome Sophie Stockdale who has joined us as Meet Your Neighbours Coordinator. Sophie joins us with a wealth of local project management and community experience. She volunteers with local charities and has a passion for working in and engaging with local residents in the community.
Sophie says “I have such fond memories of my own childhood playing out with the neighbours children and enjoying the freedom it gave me, so I am very keen that my own children (aged 8 and 5) have the same opportunities that I did. That is why I think that ‘Playing Out’ is such a wonderful initiative, it not only gives young people the opportunity to create valuable childhood memories but it also allows all members of the local community to come together, young and old, to create a strong community network. I cannot wait to get started and to meet all the streets that have already started their ‘Playing Out’ journey and to encourage many more residents to become involved and to start their own ‘Playing Out’ sessions.”
