A brilliant way for all your street to join in with the festive cheer!
Want a fun festive project to bring cheer to your street this winter? Then why not give Festive Streets a try, Festive Streets is a fantastic initiative that encourages neighbours to co-ordinate the decoration of their windows during the festive season.
If you would like an easy idea to keep the children occupied whilst wrapping those last few Christmas presents and getting the house ready for Christmas, then get them involved and ask them to draw, paint, collage a festive picture for your windows for all the neighbours to enjoy
In its simplest form, neighbours volunteer to decorate a street-facing window of their home in the run up to Christmas! All the neighbours in a street are invited to join in with Festive Streets – whether they choose to decorate a window or simply enjoy the displays. Â

The project is run at street level so you and your neighbours can choose whether to keep it simple or go the full hog – perhaps raising money for charity or choosing a more ambitious theme. Some streets call it a Living Advent Calendar.
We encourage all participant to be sustainable with their creations, to have a good old rummage in the craft drawers, maybe use old Christmas cards or bits of wrapping paper, be as creative and festive as you wish and lets put a smile on your neighbours faces with your beautiful creations!

Festive Streets is brought to you our Playing Out St Albans District team you can sign up for a free Festive Streets information pack here which gives a how-to guide on how to decorate your windows.
